A man has been sexually assaulted after he got into what he thought was a taxi in Oxford.
The 20-year-old got into the vehicle in Botley Road at about 2.30am on Monday.

He asked the driver to take him home but instead he was driven to Redbridge Park and Ride where he was sexually assaulted.

The victim eventually managed to break free from the offender and hid in some nearby bushes.

The offender is Asian and aged in his late twenties to early thirties. He was driving a two-door blue car.

Det Con Mel Steel, of Oxford CID, said: "After the assault took place the victim flagged down a silver Citroen.

"A woman and her son, who were in the car, advised him to contact police before driving off.

"He then pulled over a passing taxi and asked the driver to take him to his home address.

"I appeal to both these people, who helped out the victim, to contact police as they may be able to assist our inquiries."
