A taxi driver licensed to drive kids to school despite having convictions for indecent assault was jailed yesterday for raping a girl.

Robert Wagstaff, 40, was granted the licence even though checks revealed he was convicted in 1984 of attacking two boys aged six.

Wagstaff, of Bridgend, was sentenced at Cardiff crown court to a minimum four years after admitting sex with a child under 13.
