A man wielding a knife robbed a 66-year-old cab driver in the 300 block of North Bedford Street late Tuesday, Carlisle police said.

The driver had been dispatched to that location to pick up a fare around 10:30 p.m., police said. Officers said the suspect was waiting, got in the cab and held a knife to the driver's throat. The robber ran away after the driver gave him an unknown amount of cash, police said.

The driver wasn't hurt. Police said the suspect is black, age 24 to 27, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds and was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and baggy pants.

Anyone with information can call police at 717-243-5252.
